Unnati-ISEC is a mission to improve access to formal school education in order to realize the fundamental right of all children to quality education

Unnati-ISEC, a social organization, is working professionally in the rural areas in the field of school education as well as schools and village libraries from the perspective of multilingualism. This organization is known for creating good examples in these subjects and effectively conveying them to the public, NGOs, teachers and the government.

To improve access to formal school education in order to realise the fundamental right of all children to quality education.

Strategic focus

• Develop replicable models and programmes in the area of school education, teacher education, community based work, child protection and entrepreneurship development.
• In order to develop reading skills, vocabulary and nurture reading habits in children, develop programmes for schools and communities.
• Create and write in English, Marathi and other languages a cross section of books, manuals, articles and publish them. Translate books, periodicals, articles and policy documents into Marathi and other regional languages, publish them and make them available for all children, schools, teachers, libraries and communities.
• To institute scholarships, fellowships and awards for people who want to work in the area of education, child rights and entrepreneurship development.
• Working with government systems at village, block, district, state and national level and provide support in developing programmes and strengthening structures and systems in the areas of quality education and safe and exploitation-free childhood.
• Work with local, national and international level non-government organizations / networks, take up researches, do advocacy and initiate and lead the networks and campaigns wherever necessary.
