Saanvi Social Welfare Organisation works with tribal students in Talasari, Palghar, to expand access to education, career guidance and opportunities for personal development. Volunteer as a guest speaker and introduce students to careers, skills and life possibilities they may not have encountered before.
What could you conduct?
- Vocational skills: Introduce tailoring, computers, digital tools, practical trades or other accessible skills.
- Life skills: Communication, confidence, teamwork, goal-setting and problem-solving.
- Career discovery: Explore careers in healthcare, technology, banking, hospitality, design, skilled trades and entrepreneurship.
- Girls' empowerment: Sessions on career choices, higher education, self-confidence, digital literacy and aspirations.
Who can volunteer? College students, professionals, entrepreneurs, educators and skilled practitioners.
Sessions should be interactive, use simple language and relatable examples, and be adapted to students' learning levels.
