As a Social Impact Intern, you'll step beyond the classroom and experience the diverse world of grassroots social work. Instead of working on a single project, you'll participate in a range of community initiatives, giving you firsthand exposure to the challenges, realities, and rewards of creating social impact.
From cleaning Mumbai's beaches with the Beach Warriors initiative to spending meaningful time with underprivileged children, engaging with senior citizens, supporting community events, and participating in awareness campaigns, every session offers a new opportunity to learn, contribute, and grow.
Whether you're exploring a career in the social sector, looking to fulfil an internship requirement, or simply want to understand how nonprofits create change on the ground, this internship offers a unique opportunity to experience multiple causes while making a tangible difference.
Depending on the projects scheduled during your internship, you may:
- Participate in weekly beach clean-up drives and environmental awareness initiatives
- Support educational and recreational activities with children from underserved communities
- Spend time with senior citizens through engagement and companionship programmes
- Assist with community outreach and awareness campaigns
- Work alongside the team and fellow volunteers across different initiatives
Volunteering hours per session, as well as duration of the internship can be modified to suit the intern's requirement, depending on project schedules. However, a minimum of 30 hours of volunteering would be required for the issuance of a certificate
