NGO : Saanidhaanam ALF
Saanidhaanam is looking for a skilled website design and development volunteer to help revamp its existing website and strengthen its digital presence.
As a Website Revamp Volunteer, you will work with the Saanidhaanam team to make the website more engaging, accessible, user-friendly and effective in communicating the organisation's mission, work and impact.
The aim is to help prospective residents and their families, donors, well-wishers, volunteers and partners better understand Saanidhaanam, explore its work and connect with the organisation.
As a Website Revamp Volunteer, you will:
- Review the existing website and identify opportunities to improve its design, navigation, content and overall user experience.
- Recommend a clear, intuitive website structure that makes it easier for visitors to understand Saanidhaanam's mission, services and activities.
- Refresh the visual design, page layouts, typography, imagery and presentation to create a modern and engaging digital experience.
- Help organise and present information about the organisation's assisted living facilities, services, resident activities, vocational training and community initiatives.
- Improve the website's mobile responsiveness, readability and accessibility, keeping the needs of senior citizens, persons with disabilities and their families in mind.
- Review and improve calls to action for prospective residents and families, volunteers, donors and well-wishers.
- Coordinate with the Saanidhaanam team to gather content, photographs, feedback and approvals.
- Support implementation of the agreed changes and hand over the revamped website with basic documentation or guidance, as required.
Education & Experience-Based Skills
- Website design and development.
- UI/UX design and information architecture.
- Responsive and mobile-first design.
- WordPress or other relevant content management systems (depending on the existing platform).
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript or other relevant development skills, where required.
- Website content structuring and visual communication.
- Basic SEO and website performance optimisation.
